Whidbey Island Robotics Club

We have built ADA-compliant wheelchair ramps for community members around Whidbey Island to help them gain safe access to their homes. Several of our recipients were in dire need, having been in accidents where the hospital wouldn’t let them return home until there was a safe way for them to evacuate in case of an emergency. This is one of 2980’s most frequently requested projects and is one that makes a huge difference in the lives of the recipients, despite its small scale.
