In the Community
When they aren’t building robots, our team members can be found STEM fun throughout the community. We educate kids at elementary school STEM nights, bringing fun (and messy) science activities and giving kids the chance to drive our robots and ask team members questions. Last spring, we brought our presentations to the Island County Big Brothers and Bis Sisters DINO (Dabble in New Opportunities) program for 100 elementary and middle school students. We also run instructional events like our Lego Camps, Girls Day, and Robotics for All to introduce robotics to young community members and to provide STEM opportunities to underrepresented groups. Our booth can be found with information and activities at many community festivals, and our lab coats are seen at local parades.
