Whidbey Island Robotics Club

Back in 2020, COVID shrunk our FRC team to 5 students submitting videos of a robot for remote-only competitions. Last year, our team had grown back bigger than ever before with a record 38 team members. Those members must be doing something right because, ​for the first time in team history, our robot design, manufacturing, programming, and drive teams combined to put a robot on the field that earned a place in the Pacific Northwest District Championships. Our team has competed at district championships in past seasons because of our award-winning outreach and community service activities. But, 2022-23 was the first time Team 2980 earned a championship spot for our robot.
