Prosthetics

Our team has created many 3D printed prosthetics over the years to meet unique needs and specifications. Our first prosthetic was for an artificial arm for a then-8 year-old girl.  We have kept in contact with her and created additional aides as she has grown and become more active. When she reached high school and joined weight lifting and woodshop classes, we created attachments for her prosthetic arm to enable her to do these activities.

After seeing a news report about the original prosthetic we made, a woman whose daughter was born without an arm came to us for help. 2980 produced and donated a dynamic prosthetic arm to her 4-year-old daughter in 2017, allowing the girl to safely ride her bicycle. A project originally created to help one person became a large aspect of our team’s work.
