Whidbey Island Robotics Club

We were asked by FRC Team 1868 (Space Cookies, from Moffett Field, CA) to be menstrual equity ambassadors at one of our FRC events in 2022. We agreed and offered menstrual and other supplies to all 31 teams at the 2022 Sammamish event.

We were so excited about bringing attention to the need for equal access to needed supplies that we brought the project to our high school. We designed and hand-made boxes to store supplies in 37 classrooms, including 16 with male teachers. And, we maintain each of our boxes to make sure all our classmates have easy-to-access, quality products close at hand.

We also have continued to actively work at our events, acting as Menstrual Equity Coordinators for all FRC district events in the Pacific Northwest district.
